Can I send my 17 year old son to go to Toyota and get the car oil changed?

He has his drivers license. Would Toyota allow this? Can I send my 17 year old son to go to Toyota and get the car oil changed?
Don't see why not as long as he's a responsible kid.Can I send my 17 year old son to go to Toyota and get the car oil changed?
Obviously you could, like the first answer said. Call ahead just in case though, I've had the dealer check my license upon arrival for an oil change (for whatever reason, I was the owner, it wasn't even my parents' vehicle). Of course, I never go to the dealer for little things like this anymore.

Or even better, teach him how to change the oil for the car, and then if he wants to borrow it, it can be his regular contribution to it every 3000 miles (while you pay insurance, etc...). You buy the oil and filter, and show him how its done, and then next time, buy the necessary supplies and let him do it (under a watchful eye the first couple times). Nothing wrong with getting a little oil on our hands now and then...
Um yeah I am pretty sure they would allow it. I mean if he is on the insurance and everything. He has a valid drivers license, or you can call ahead of time and tell them that you can't make it in but you need a oil change and you are sending your son.
Call the Toyota dealer and ask. In my neck of the woods, the dealers will not do work on a car brought in by a kid under 18 since they are clearly not the legal owner of the car. The quick change shops don't care.
Definitely, but sending the car to the dealership isn't a good idea, because they charge a lot of money. It's better to take it to a Shell or Exxon station for an oil change.
Yup of course you can, he is legally allowed to Drive, so there should be no problems as technically it could be his own car!
I know he could get it changed at a car oil change facility not sure if the dealer would require the owner to be present though. Give them a call.
I don't see why not. If he is responsible and Toyota allows underagers to get oil changes, sure.
Is this serious?? Why would they care if he's 17 or if he's 78? They won't ask for his drivers license or anything.
probably
The first answer is the best.
Of course. Why would he not be able to? Does Toyota have something against minors? I think they don't care.
It shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure he doesn't let them talk him into any other service.
Not unless you send him with money.
I like the first answer :) Of course he can.
Why not?
why wouldnt they........
yes u can send him
he know toyota will charge more than walmart or gas station?

just make sure u got the oil change receipt from him. :)
with money in his hand.

but why go there? why not somewhere cheaper like WalMart?
I don't see why not....lol
