that sulfur smell is not form the oil it self but from the catalytic converter. it is overloading for some reason. have that checked out.Can people smell your car burning oil if you are behind them?
Generally speaking, yes, other people, can smell the odor, of the exhaust, of a vehicle, that is burning oil. Weather they are behined the vehicle, that is burning the oil, or in front of them, or next to them, or, even in the other lane, or, even a ways away, the odor can still be smelled. Generally, a engine that is burning oil, doesn't give off a sulfer odor... That sounds more to me, like a issue, with your catalytic converter, itself. They always say, that a malfunctioning catalytic converter, will give the exhaust the smell of either rotten eggs, or a sulfer smell. A engine that is burning too much oil, smells like burning oil, and, that is it. Also, the exhaust, should have a blue appearence, if it is a issue, with burning oil. I would say, that it is your cat. converter, not the oil burning. And, even with her windows closed, and, her air conditioning on, she will still smell the odor, reguardless. Actually, with the air conditioning on, the smell will be worse, cause the odor is sucked in, through the vents, in the dash, and, it will remain there, for quite some time.
yeah you can smell it burning oil also your exhaust should be blue.
change to synthetic oil and it won't smell anymore
