will she get sick if i leave her overnight by herself?How do i get car oil off a cat?
use dawn dish detergent and warm water u will have to wash her a couple times but it will break down the oils in the fur and should clean it up fairly well .How do i get car oil off a cat?
light a match, it'd surely get rid of the oil. LOL
Give her a bath.
Just because cats don't like to get wet dosen't mean it will hurt her.
Do be careful some cats scratch, Luckily mine don't.
Also be careful not to use a strong shampoo as cats don't have oil glands in their skin and a stong shampoo will dry out her skin
Use a small amount of dish soap will cut through the oil and clean her fur well.
Yes your cat can get ill, even die from licking the oil off it's fur. I would use a deep cleansing shampoo for animals. You may have to shampoo many times. You can also take it to pet groomers and have them shampoo for you. You can check at Pets Mart or Petco for a shampoo that is safe to use on your cat.
try to take her to a pet doctor specialist.
put anti-freeze on the cat. this happened to me last summer. i put about 4 cups of anti-freeze on the cat and it made it so the oil could be washed off with the hose (which the cat hated). good luck!
Give her a bath. Put some dish detergent on the oil, but use cat shampoo for the rest. It should take it out or at least most of it.
Clarifying shampoo(clear) will pull the grease out.....make sure not to get it in it's eyes and ears...also have a strong helper on hand...cats are hell to bathe.
Please, please DO NOT use anti freeze. Anti freeze is sweet tasting and a very small amount can kill a pet.
Use Dawn dish soap.
';If you are attempting to remove grease, oil, or other petroleum products from your cat's fur, try using Dawn brand detergent first to remove it, and follow up with a cat shampoo.';
