Some oil dripped out of a trash bag onto our carpet, and my mom is going ballistic. We tried using Resolve, and a lot of it, but it isn't taking it out. I did hear that rubbing alcohol may take it out, but I want to make sure that the carpet is dry from the Resolve first so that there isn't any chemical reaction of the alcohol and Resolve. Anyway, any help would be greatly apprecited! How do you remove car oil stains from carpet?
Try oxy clean.
I usually use it for laundry stains but i have used it for things spilled on the carpet and it works really well.
They sell spray bottles of it or powdered stuff. How do you remove car oil stains from carpet?
There is a fantastic product called Sol U Mel that will remove even permanent marker from most surfaces (I used it to remove 2 year old permanent marker from my kids' bathroom wall). You should do a spot check to make sure it doesn't remove the dye from the fabric. Best of all, it's environmentally safe.
I think alcohol would work but if not I don't think you can
Try Zep (commercial) Heavy Duty Cleaner. I found this at Home Depot. Removes dirt, grime, oils lubricants, grease etc. I absolutely love this product. Good luck.
