Can Carbon monoxide be created by burning car oil?

My car is blowing back oil due to the valve seals being gone. On a hot day I can smell the oil cooking on the engine. I am pregnant and my worst fear is that there is carbon Monoxide or something else being released and killing me and the kids in the car.
