What kind of car oil to use?

I drive a 90' bmw 325i. I live in chicago and it's going to be spring time. What kind of oil should I put in my car? What kind of car oil to use?
BMW recommends a multigrade SAE 40 from -4 to 86 deg. F ambient. Use Kendall Full Synthetic SAE 5W-40. It is approved as a ';BMW Long Life Oil';. A model 325 holds 7 quarts but check with your manual. Good luck. What kind of car oil to use?
Look in the manual for your car, if you dont have a manual get a HAYNES form autozone it will tell you. If all else fails look on the OIL cap it may say, maybe even a sticker under your hood.
MOBIL 25000. PROBABLEY 5 30 BUT 10 30 WONT HURT IT.
Go with what your owners manual recommends if you still have it.
