Why does my car need oil every 2 weeks?

I don't think this is normal, but we need more oil every 2 weeks and I know it isn't leaking out. Plus every once in a wile I smell something like burning wax coming through the heater. Why does my car need oil every 2 weeks?
If you can look around the engine and on the ground and can see no oil you must have an internal leak. this means that the oil is somehow getting into the cylinders around the rings or you have blowby and the oil is getting into the intake and you are burning it. easy way to tell is to have someone start the car while you are at the tailpipe and have them give it a little gas and see if you are blowing smoke. it will be a grayish white color if it is burning oil and you will be able to smell it. you might be able to have a compression test done to see if the rings are weak and letting the oil pass by. good luckWhy does my car need oil every 2 weeks?
You may be buning oil, does it smoke ?? It may be the rings. A top end will be expensive, you may start looking for a replacement
If your car is not leaking the oil out, then it is consuming it in the combustion chamber. This is usually the first sign of a worn out engine. If you address it soon it may only be valve seals or a set of rings. If you wait the engine will need to be overhauled.
you probably have a leak around the carburetor and the burning smell is the oil burning off the carb. When was the last time you changed ur oil filter?
Some engines will blow the oil back through the throttle body and burn it if the pcv valve is bad. But since you smell the buring wax odor it is more likely leaking near the top of the engine and dripping down onto the exhaust manifold and evaporating off. This can happen if the valve cover is warped.

My car (91 Ford Taurus) leaked oil from the the oil-pressure sending unit for a while, and since the oil leaked out only when the engine was running, it usually ended up spread out on the road somewhere and not in my driveway.
It sounds like u have an oil leak somewhere. Ur best bet is to have it put on a machine %26amp; figure it out, or it could be really old %26amp; the engine is overworking so it's using more oil than it should.
I think the oil gets clogged in somewhere and or if its leaking around the pan check to see if there is any oil around the pan it doesn't have to drip on the ground it can go all around the pan so please becarful
