Other wise I have to replace my pavers and I cant afford that now..
Help!!!How can you get rid off car Oil in your pavers???
Which dish detergent? I have heard the ';Dawn'; dish soap will cut oil. Don't know--never tried it.How can you get rid off car Oil in your pavers???
clean it with white gas and after dried, bleach it for a day in the sun...2-3 if necessary
white gas is the same as camping gas for stoves in 1 gal cans
try a power washer. preferably one that is about 1300 psi. you can rent or buy. they come with a soap attachment to dispense soap int he water stream.
The thing about grease is that it is viscous and hard to remove from a porous surface like brick pavers.
Try a heavy mix of baking soda and water. It should be like a paste. spread it over the individual bricks and let it sit for a few hours. Hose off and repeat if necessary. If still no effect, try using bleach and a stiff brush. Be sure, however, to wear rubber gloves and goggles. Bleach burns!
Here's another idea: if your driveway is set in sand instead of in cement, you can lift the pavers out with two screwdrivers. Count how many bricks you will need and just go to the landscape supply and buy that many. You can just pop them out one at a time and replace them. When you are done, brush some loose sand into the joints again and you're done!
Try cat litter(clay),leave it on for a few hours, sweep, repeat.
I've heard that if you cover them with Cat Litter, it will absorb the oil. worth a try.
