Mobil 1 is good, i use it on all my cars. royal purple it too expensive but it is a great oil, Mobil 1 or any synthetic oil will protect your engine better then conventional oil. amsol is another good synthetic oil if you want to use that.New Car oil change what brand do you recommend for a Cobalt ls?
Since you do 68 miles per day, you would benefit from using the best oil there is, and going with longer oil change intervals. Change it once a year, and you're set.

Cheaper in the long run, and conserves natural resources.
Mobile 1 fully synthetic... especially if you might hold on to the car for awhile... if not Mobile 1, I'd still reccomend synthetic oil.
GO TO THE DEALER for the first couple of oil service chores--it is good for them to check everything since it is a new car---the filters and the oil and the tire rotation should be done by the dealer because if YOU miss something or do it wrong--or some loser mechanic advises you improperly--your new car will not be worth squat. It only takes a few minutes to do it right at the dealer. The dealer should be the one to answer any questions you might have--ask him when you need to know something--it is NOT a problem to get the right answers. Don't let ANY old idiot touch your NEW car. Good luck.
I never heard of royal purple, I used castrol for a long time and I think its the best, but its better if you dont do your own oil changes, when i do my own I postpone them instead of doing them on time.
i think u should look in the car book manual it should tell u what's best for your car or the dealership can change it and and let u know depending on where you got it from
i would recommend Mobil oil, it is better than other oils.
